“THE YEAR OF THE MONKEY” nasce l’ 8 febbraio 2016 giorno di inizio del Capodanno Cinese quando ero alla ricerca di un nome ironico e divertente per il mio blog, mi è piaciuto subito e ho pensato fosse perfetto, oltre che di buon augurio!

Questo sarà l’ anno della scimmia rossa o di fuoco, nell’ Oroscopo Cinese la scimmia è un totem simbolo di intelligenza, inventiva e vivacità mentre il fuoco rappresenta l’ imprevedibilità e l’energia per realizzare un sogno a lungo coltivato. La scimmia è simpatia e spontaneità e il suo consiglio è ” Vivi Adesso”! Bé penso non ci sia consiglio migliore!

“Vivere Adesso” significa camminare guardandosi attorno con curiosità, cogliere i dettagli ognuno con i propri occhi e condividerli con gli altri per far conoscere e conoscersi con ironia e leggerezza.

“YEAR OF THE MONKEY” nasce come personale punto di vista su quello che amo di più, la moda, l’arte, il cibo, i viaggi e l’illustrazione che è il mio strumento naturale per raccontare quello che mi piace.

Io ahimè non sono nata sotto l’ anno della scimmia quindi non possiedo molte delle sue qualità ma il mio blog si! Quindi sono sicura che sarà intelligente, inventivo, vivace, simpatico e perché no imprevedibile.

“THE YEAR OF THE MONKEY” was founded on the 8th of February 2016, day of the beginning of the Chinese New Year. As I was looking for an ironic and funny name for my Blog, I liked this name immediately and I thought it was perfect for what I had in mind, as well as being a good omen!

This will be the year of the red monkey, also known as the fire monkey. In the Chinese Horoscope the monkey is a totem, symbol of intelligence, creativity and liveliness, whereas the fire represents the ‘unpredictability and the energy to realize a long-cherished dream’. The monkey is humour and spontaneity, and its advice is “Live Now”! Well, I think there is no better advice than this!

“Live Now” means walking while looking around curiously, each of us catching the details with our own eyes and sharing them with others, in order to know and get to know with irony and lightness.

“THE YEAR OF THE MONKEY” was founed as a personal point of view on what I love the most, i.e. fashion, art, food, travel and especially illustration  which is my natural tool to tell what I like.Unfortunately I wasn’t born under the Year of the Monkey, so I personally don’t have many of its qualities but my Blog does! So I am confident that it will be intelligent, lively, smart and – why not – unpredictable!!
